Hey everyone. I dont really have much to say for this week event wise. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles i guess on some weeks.
Did alot of Office work this week...But the transfer is about to end and we are planning for the next one. My comp is also going home in a week...So im gunna be left to "help" someone else figure out the office with me as well! Yay! Wont that be an adventure.
The only meaningful things i would say is that this week i met some cool Americans from Illinois. They were studying abroad. No interest. D: But they were cool and nice nevertheless.
The lady we raninto a couple weeks ago (Mihaiela) who was working in Italia came to church this week and we set up to go meet her and her son this next week. We hope he is interested and so does she. It could be a small miracle.
Speaking of Miracles, one of my investigators in Chisinau (Du, the vietnamese guy) got baptized!!!! Im so excited! He is super cool and i hear is planning on going on a mission. So i am stoked for him. #littlemiracles
On Sunday, we went to a members house. Her name is Sora Gorzo and she has been suffering some health problems recently so she hasnt been to church for a while. She is super cute and we talked a while and sung some hymns. We also went to the Sicardi family's house. They are the Italian family who are super cool! #gargantuous My comp played violin and everyone spoke italian and had some good food. #chill
So i saw the book Micul Print (the Little Prince) with which im sure most of you are familiar. And i saw this quote in there which says:
"Here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
At first glance, i really liked this quote. Sometimes we trust our eyes so much that we dont always give time to think about what our hearts are telling us. And also you could apply that to what God is trying to tell us. The things that are essential to our life and happiness and especially for our salvation are not always right in front of us. We have to endure and be patient in our afflictions to be able to look back and say "Wow, God knew what was essential for me".
Later this last week i came upon this scripture:
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal".
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Pretty cool, right? Those eternal things are what really matter. And we need faith to press forward and keep improving and pushing through any affliction in order for them to be used in our benefit. A good friend of mine once told me that she asked God if she could have learned her life lessons in another way but realized that many people have asked God that question. Nevertheless they have had to submit to the will of the Father. The great example of that was our Saviour Jesus Christ who asked if the cup could be removed but he still chose to submit to the Father. I know that Heavenly Father knows us personally. I know that He loves us and because of that he sent his Son to die for us. I have such a great desire to grow my relationship with Jesus Christ and i want to feel His love so that i can press forward even if im going through a hard time. I know God will help me if i turn to Him.
